If you're interested in donating your hair, feel free to drop by. We can assist you with your donation, as well as give you a great new hairstyle to go with your shortened hair. Below you will find information on donating to Locks of Love, as well as some photos of customers who have already donated through the salon. Guidelines for Acceptable Hair Donations
| - Donated hair needs to be gathered into a ponytail or braid
- Donated hair must measure a minimum of 10 inches
- Layered hair is acceptable if the longest layer is 10 inches
- Curly hair may be pulled straight to meet the 10 inch minimum
- Colored or permed hair IS acceptable
- Bleached/highlighted hair, however is NOT acceptable
- Locks of Love does not accept hair that is in dreadlocks
- Hair that has been shaved off and not in a ponytail/braid is not usable
- Hair that is swept off the floor is not usable
- Hair that was cut years ago is usable as long as it is gathered in ponytail or braid
- Gray hair will be accepted and sold to offset the manufacturing costs of the hairpieces
